The summer internship program allows participants to work with state agency officials and participate in co-curricular components to enrich their experiences. Interns spend at least 50 percent of their time on predetermined projects that enhance college-level skills and abilities. The co-curricular components of the program ensure competitive, reputable, and inclusive experiential learning. Interns participate in cohort weekly activities designed to enable: Professional growth and preparedness for the workforce upon graduation Exposure to many facets of state government Networking and camaraderie development among the cohort About the Legal Services Internship: The Legal Services team provides legal advice to the entire agency. The Legal Services team serves as in-house counsel for a thirty-billion-dollar enterprise in state and local tax. We ensure adherence to regulations in various state agreements, including memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and data sharing agreements (DSAs), while also negotiating professional services contracts, securing and maintaining legal compliance with said agreements, and handling real estate matters. We are looking for two or three legal interns to join the team during the summer of 2026.
