The summer internship program allows participants to work with state agency officials and participate in co-curricular components to enrich their experiences. Interns spend at least 50 percent of their time on predetermined projects that enhance college-level skills and abilities. The co-curricular components of the program ensure competitive, reputable, and inclusive experiential learning. Interns participate in cohort weekly activities designed to enable: Professional growth and preparedness for the workforce upon graduation Exposure to many facets of state government Networking and camaraderie development among the cohort The Communications Intern will support a key project to help DOR develop a customer education center for a specific customer base, offering a variety of educational materials. This project will interact with internal and external communication teams, external partners, website and creative teams, and DOR leadership. The intern will also be exposed to a variety of projects including, research and gathering information for public partners, creation of guides and FAQ, UX and UI integration, and more for the purposes of serving Indiana taxpayers.
