About The Position

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Governmental Auditor III. This is an in-office position without the option for Remote or Hybrid work. Note: Effective Feb. 1, 2026, the compensation plan for this position will be increased to reflect a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of 2.5%. The salary listed in this posting does not reflect the COLA. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as business administration, public administration, finance, economics, computer science, etc., AND three years of auditing experience that includes one year of experience performing governmental auditing.
  • OR Twenty quarter hours of college courses in a business or financial field such as the areas listed above AND two additional years of auditing experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Successful completion of the duties and training as an Oregon Governmental Auditor (Entry) will substitute for one year of governmental auditing experience.
  • For specialized audit positions (e.g., EDP Auditor), at least one year of experience must be in the specialized audit area.

Responsibilities

  • You will have oversight for the development, conduct, and approve annual review findings for the assigned Oregon Tribal Gaming facilities.
  • You will monitor, review, inspect, investigate, and verify that Tribal Gaming Operations are conducted in compliance with the provisions of the Tribal/State Compact agreements.
  • You will serve as a Tribal Gaming Section Manager, team member, technical expert, consultant, advisor, and assist with oversight of the Section’s billing process.
  • You will directly supervise the Governmental Auditor IIs (GAs) assigned to the gaming facility.
  • Additionally, in this position you will be the primary backup for the program management duties of the other Governmental Auditor 3.
