The Government Contracts Sales Executive is responsible for identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and winning U.S. Government aviation-related contracts across the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. This role owns the full government sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification and customer engagement through proposal coordination, award, and account growth. Requirements

  • 8–15+ years of DoD sales, BD, or capture experience.
  • Deep understanding of defense procurement and acquisition lifecycle.
  • Proven record winning multimillion‑dollar DoD contracts.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting major DoD program offices.
  • Familiarity with defense systems such as C5ISR, cyber, logistics, or training.
  • Military service or DoD civilian experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s sales and growth strategy for DoD agencies.
  • Identify emerging defense capability gaps and modernization priorities.
  • Lead capture efforts including RFI/RFQ/RFP analysis, win strategy, and proposal leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships with acquisition officers, contracting officers, and PMOs.
  • Identify and negotiate teaming partnerships with defense integrators and OEMs.
  • Navigate DoD acquisition pathways including FAR/DFARS, OTAs, and SBIR/STTR.
