Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. provides account management and customer support services to key health care customers, including hospital systems and group purchasing organizations, leading health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and government health care institutions. The company also provides contract management, logistics and supply chain functions for the major Johnson & Johnson franchises. The Contract Manager for Government Contracts will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Operating Company Federal contracting needs. Knowledge and experience in management of Government Contracting including proposal development, negotiations and post award compliance is preferred. Support includes preparation of all solicitations, modifications and any other necessary documentation on behalf of the Operating Company. Person will oversee administrative duties such as contract loading and payments as specified in the terms and conditions of each agreement. The Contract Manager will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance to minimize risk. In this role the person will be expected to act as liaison between the Operating Company and Contracting Officer, create offers and respond to solicitations and RFP’s, be the acting agent on behalf of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc., and on behalf of the Operating Company, facilitate and lead discussion around new business opportunities, collaborate with the Operating Company on business strategies and provide insight to minimize risk. The selected candidate may have the responsibility for a direct report and will also act as a mentor to other members of the department. The candidate will have the responsibility to look for innovative ways to streamline business processes, review data to ensure integrity and provide input where necessary.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelors (BA/BS) or equivalent degree in a business-related concentration is required.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of related business experience with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Tech.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines and deliverables required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in either Government or Commercial Contracting.
  • Experience in developing proposals, negotiating contracts and managing contracts.
  • Knowledge of the application of Federal Acquisition Regulation contract clauses.
  • Knowledge of Non-FAMP, FCP, BP and AMP calculations.
  • Access database skills.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage Federal Contracts and Agreements which may include FSS, IDIQ, ECAT, MSPV, Consignment, etc.
  • Collaborate with OpCo business partners regarding various strategies and associated implementation planning and execution.
  • Work closely with Government Contracting Officers, J&J Sales Reps, Customer Service and all others that may have responsibilities related to Federal Government orders or solicitations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as general department responsibilities rotate throughout the department personnel.
