About The Position

The Assistant Director of Finance Transformation at EY will play a pivotal role in delivering Finance Transformation initiatives for the Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice. This position requires a strong background in government finance, reorganizations, and system launches, focusing on leading major workstreams of EY's transformation initiatives. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement financial tools, improve finance processes, and support the growth of the GPS practice.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in finance positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of Federal rules and regulations in a CAS compliant government contracting environment.
  • Established track record of improving complex, cross-functional finance processes.
  • Experience in finance transformation, including ERP implementation and operational excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification
  • Consulting experience
  • Advanced degree in Business, Data Analytics, or Information Systems
  • Experience developing new analytical frameworks and delivering to executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a keen understanding of EY's firm structure, GPS structure, and operating model.
  • Execute finance and finance technology transformation initiatives, including process redesign and defining business requirements.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure technology solutions meet business expectations.
  • Prevent or minimize delays by elevating risks early and highlighting interdependencies with key applications.
  • Collect and retain project artifacts to support audit requirements.
  • Partner with GPS Finance functional process owners to facilitate financial data transfers and automation.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement approach to ensure processes scale with changes in the GPS practice.
  • Advise senior leadership on best practices and technologies impacting finance organizations.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities to strengthen the Finance team's capabilities.
