About The Position

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience. Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Requirements

  • Ability to use information technology hardware and software to develop, store, retrieve, share and report work products.

  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to research and summarize topical/ subject matter information.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and security matters in state government.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the department’s fleet tracking system and related activities as directed by management. Provide fleet tracking technical assistance to the department, coordinating with internal and external parties as necessary.
  • Create and maintain reports, manuals, trainings, standard operating procedures, policies, and other fleet resources as directed by management.
  • Review fleet, property management, and other inventory data in department systems as assigned. Identify trends, issues and make recommendations to management on opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate and complete other fleet projects as assigned.
  • Provide administrative support to the department’s safety office, including but not limited to creating minutes and agendas for safety meetings, creating trainings, identifying videos and materials for safety campaigns. Assist with the creation of standard operating procedures, coordinating audit responses, and assisting with the department’s COOP plan and related exercises. Assist with planning and coordinating the department’s health, wellness, and safety week.
  • Complete other safety office projects as assigned.
