We are seeking a high-impact, quota-carrying Government Account Executive to drive full-cycle sales across federal and state government agencies. This role owns the entire revenue lifecycle—from prospecting and opportunity creation through deal closure and expansion—within highly regulated public sector environments. You will develop strategic relationships, navigate complex procurement processes, and deliver service-based solutions that improve operational performance and compliance outcomes. This is a true hunter–closer role with accountability for pipeline generation, deal execution, and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience (full-cycle preferred)
  • Experience selling into federal, state, or public sector environments
  • Proven track record of prospecting, pipeline generation, and closing deals
  • Experience navigating government procurement and contracting processes
  • Strong financial, negotiation, and consultative selling skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, laboratory, life sciences, or technical services
  • Familiarity with government compliance, regulatory, or funding structures
  • Experience selling service-based or SaaS-enabled solutions

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new federal and state government opportunities
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline aligned to quarterly and annual quotas
  • Identify buying centers, funding cycles, and procurement pathways
  • Develop and execute territory and account-based sales strategies
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles including discovery, solution design, and negotiation
  • Navigate RFPs, RFQs, and government contracting processes
  • Deliver compelling proposals and close complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Own pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal execution
  • Engage executive, procurement, and operational stakeholders
  • Conduct needs assessments aligned to mission, compliance, and budget constraints
  • Position service solutions that drive measurable operational and financial outcomes
  • Establish credibility as a trusted advisor in regulated environments
  • Expand existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell strategies
  • Partner with operations, legal, and service teams to deliver solutions
  • Ensure successful onboarding and execution of contracted services
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and long-term retention
