About The Position
As a Gourmet Food Server at Jasmine, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences in an exquisite garden and lake-view setting, where the exotic aromas of Cantonese, Szechwan, and Hunan cuisine envelop you. Your primary responsibilities will include taking and delivering customer orders while ensuring that tables are impeccably maintained and guest satisfaction is prioritized. As you finalize checks and perform side work—including general cleaning of your assigned stations—you'll be contributing to an atmosphere where Nouvelle Hong Kong flavors harmonize with authentic Chinese artistry. Your attentive service and commitment to quality are essential in creating memorable dining moments for our guests.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a food server in a fine-dining restaurant
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
- Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant
- Knowledgeable of selling techniques, service delivery of both non and alcoholic beverages, and service delivery of menu items of every course
- Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned area, side station, tables and Point of Sale (POS) station
- Anticipate the guest needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Communicate with management, chef and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guest and or employees
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
