About The Position

The Google Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer role at Net2Source Inc. focuses on GitOps process automation within a remote work environment. The position requires expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform for infrastructure and application deployment. The engineer will be responsible for managing GKE clusters, automating deployments, and ensuring effective process management in a cloud environment.

Requirements

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine and GKE.
• Proficiency in Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform scripting for deployment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts in Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible Tower and Cloud Build.
• Familiarity with work item management tools like JIRA and ticketing tools like Service Now.
• Certification in Google Cloud Professional Architect or Google Cloud Platform ACE and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with migration projects from On-Prem to Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of protocols and data migration such as TCP/sFTP and Juniper.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage GKE clusters including proxy management, failover, and blue-green deployment.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployment using Terraform, Docker, and Jenkins.
• Manage version control and repositories using Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Artifact Registry.
• Handle work item management using JIRA and ticketing tools like Service Now and GSD.
• Implement networking concepts in Google Cloud Platform including VPC, proxy settings, and load balancing.
• Manage databases using Google Cloud SQL and storage with GCS Bucket.
• Conduct release management, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
• Document processes and manage ITSA processes effectively.
