About The Position

The Front Desk Supervisor at Goodman Dermatology is responsible for managing the front desk staff and ensuring exceptional patient experiences at the practice location. This role involves supervising staff, resolving patient issues, maintaining communication with healthcare providers, and managing office inventory and schedules.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent completion required.
  • 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a medical environment required.
  • Ability to effectively lead a team in a dermatology office.
  • Excellent oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures outstanding patient care at all times, maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
  • Supervises front desk staff ensuring adherence to company policies and practices, and delegates front office tasks.
  • Resolves patient issues, complaints, and problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Builds strong relationships with staff, providers, and patients, maintaining open communication.
  • Keeps referring primary care physicians informed of treatment plans for mutual patients.
  • Tracks cosmetic and office inventory to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  • Manages staff timecards ensuring accurate reporting of staff times.
  • Assists front desk staff in completing assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed, or fulfills the role of Front Desk Receptionist as required.
  • Informs patients when providers are running late and communicates expected wait times during check-in.
  • Ensures office patient schedules are full and makes calls to patients on waiting lists to fill openings.
