Essential Job Summary: The Gondola Rail Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an articulating rock truck. The role supports daily waste placement. The operation works in a fast-paced outdoor environment and must maintain a high level of safety awareness while coordinating with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment multiple times per shift.
Ability to lift 50lbs if needed.
Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
Ability to work in loud environments with exposure to dust, mud, and outdoor elements.

Responsibilities

Safely operate an articulating rock truck.
Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition, report defects, damage or maintenance needs promptly.
Follow designated traffic patterns and maintain awareness of surrounding equipment, personnel, and road conditions.
Communicate effectively with team and supervisors via radio to coordinate safe operations.
Identify and respond appropriately to unsafe conditions.
Perform basic preventive maintenance such as fueling, lubricating, and cleaning equipment.
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and operational activities as required.
Support additional operations as assigned based on business needs.
