OVERVIEW: The Golf Trusted Advisor is an essential, frontline role that connects our Brands and services to our customer (Golfer). The Advisor provides high-quality customer service to our Golfer by delivering many aspects of the experience including: assisting the Golfer with merchandise selections, offering a deep knowledge of product information, services and promotions. This role will receive an extensive level of golf-related training that will build core skills in the technical aspects of equipment and the game at large. These skills will be put to use not only through servicing inbound Golf Galaxy eCommerce, phone and chat interactions but also through virtual fitting consultation appointments. The Trusted Advisor ensures the Golfer is getting a high level of support they need during their purchase journey. Our Golf Trusted Advisors can be anywhere in the US and work remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Golf product knowledge and play the game
  • 1-3 years’ experience with customer service focus
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong detail orientation and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with customer service focus
  • Strong Presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 45-minute virtual golf consultation appointments.
  • Review the pre appointment assessment and formulate product and equipment recommendations that match the Golfer’s level of play and experience.
  • Build excitement and confidence in the Brand throughout the virtual appointment by highlighting newly released products and promotional offers.
  • Get deep in the technical function of the clubs and recommend accessories for their game.
  • Share your own experience with the equipment and game to help promote loyalty to the Brand.
  • Review post session feedback and continue to stay connected with the Golfer by providing them a recap of your session and suggested equipment for purchase.
  • Assist the Golfer with placing orders, providing order status, and offering details related to product inquiries, merchandise selections, Golf services and promotions.
  • The Advisor will be able to quickly identify and understand the Golfer’s needs and act with their ultimate satisfaction in mind.
  • It is the responsibility of the Golf Advisor to build a connection with the Golfer, own any issue to point of resolution and maintain Brand loyalty.
  • Utilize the in-store teammates, internal business partners and vendors to research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that require deeper assessment or resolution.
  • Execute various back-office functions associated with inbound inquires, including accurate logging, tracking and providing appropriate follow up throughout the process until resolution is achieved.
  • Attend new product and service training as needed.
