Overview This is a seasonal role, for Domestic Applicants, beginning in April and continuing through the end of October. Assist with the overall operation of the Gem Golf Course facility, with a primary focus on supervising golf shop staff and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role is responsible for promoting and exemplifying the highest standards of customer service, providing exceptional support to guests, and coordinating closely with Bell Services and Taxi/Dray Services. Additional responsibilities include assisting with tournament coordination and fundraising events. The position requires consistent adherence to all Grand Hotel and Gem Golf Course policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and guest-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Golf Operations
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lead in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a customer service supervisory position preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure pertinent information is being communicated
  • Provide exceptional guest service
  • Go above and beyond for every guest at the golf course
  • Answer the phone and assist guest with tee times and questions
  • Assist guests with merchandise and equipment purchases
  • Keep the golf shop clean and neat at all times
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Assist with tournament operations and group outings.
  • Assist with member functions and golf events
  • Understand the operating budget in order to meet department goals
