About The Position

The Golf Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily retail and operational functions of the golf shop. This role manages merchandising strategy, including buying, displays, and seasonal product planning, and ensures accurate inventory control, pricing, and sales reporting. The Golf Shop Manager supervises and trains golf shop staff, coordinates special orders, member inquiries, and vendor relationships, and assists with tournament administration and event preparation as needed.
Additionally, the Golf Shop Manager collaborates with the Head Golf Professional on budgeting, forecasting, and retail goals, while upholding club policies, service standards, and brand presentation. This position represents the club in a professional and approachable manner, fostering a welcoming environment for members and guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a golf shop, retail management, or private club environment preferred
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage inventory and retail operations effectively
• Familiarity with JONAS POS systems and merchandising best practices
• Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to member service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• PGA Membership or Associate status a plus, but not required
