About The Position

Under the supervision of the Manager/Head Golf Pro, the golf shop attendant will be familiar with all aspects of Golf Course operations and "excellent" customer service. The golf shop attendant should be able to record and relate details verbally and in written form. Must be able to deal with emergency situations. The H-F Park District’s mission statement is “to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment”.

Requirements

  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Golf Shop at Coyote Run Golf Course.
  • High school graduate.
  • Background in customer service.
  • Computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
  • Greet Patrons and guests as they enter and exit the facility.
  • Multi-task.
  • Responsible for accurately booking all tee times in Fore Up Reservations software. Responsible for accurately enrolling participants in Classes using Smart Rec Software.
  • Answers all telephone calls and directs all messages.
  • Required to attend all announced Golf Shop meetings.
  • Inform all members and guests of course activities, policies, rules and regulations.
  • Competent in all computer operations.
  • Works regular shifts each week. He/she should report to work at least ten minutes before state of shift.
  • Should have a clean, neat appearance at all times. Must wear Course uniform. (Jeans or short shorts are unacceptable).
  • Familiar with accident/injury procedure.
  • Become familiar with park district facilities and activities offered by the park district.
  • Ready at all times to be part of the "team". This means assisting the manager, player assistants, starters, pro shop manager, and maintenance crew on tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the course.
  • Addresses all grievances to the manager or other employees in private.
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual, Policy & Procedure handbook and Employee Manual.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.
