About The Position
History and spectacular landscapes come together, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Celebrated landmarks, including Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and the University of Virginia, are clustered here among swathes of the East Coast's most beautiful scenery. The region is also home to over 25 wineries, breweries and cideries. This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center. The Golf Cart Attendant’s responsibility is to welcome members and guests to the Club and provide assistance to their needs; maintain Cart Barn area and practice facility.
Requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Willing to work in a team atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Provide golf bag service: retrieval, loading, cleaning, and storage
- Maintain practice facility: set-up, maintenance, restocking, and cleaning
- Meet and greet golfers at the beginning and at the end of their round
- Manage golf car fleet: staging, cleanliness, stocking, preventative maintenance, and rotation
- Keep the golf cart barn clean and organized
- Keep the golf car staging area, breezeway, and service tunnel clean and orderly.
- Keep informed of upcoming events at the club
- Perform other duties assigned.
