The Golf Sales Associate at Van's Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include maintaining an awareness of all golf product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements. The associate will evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf equipment for the customer. Additionally, the associate will educate customers on our golf products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision. Operating launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customers with valuable data during the in-store experience is also part of the role. The associate will assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards. Researching merchandise availability via computer database, requisitioning merchandise from the stockroom, and taking inventory of stock where needed are also responsibilities. Once fully trained, the associate will recognize and suggest ways to improve processes and perform any other duties as assigned by management.
