ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for focusing on merchandising in all retail outlets while also maintaining outstanding customer service, answering phones, making tee times, tending as cashier, opening and/or closing the Golf Shop, promoting sales in the shop, and assisting with displaying merchandise during the summer season. This position will primarily work directly with the Merchandiser completing retail tasks yet needs to be able to tend to the phone and front desk helping customers in all golf related aspects. This is a part-time, hourly paid position that offers 24 – 40 hours a week.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Related experience in Customer service or Hospitality preferred
  • Must have a pleasant and tactful personality and be timely
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds, 30% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation and access to a business casual wardrobe
  • Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills.
  • Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Working side-by-side with Buyer/Merchandiser completing all given retail tasks
  • Managing new merchandise, unboxing, hanging, steaming, display, in all retail areas
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and retail shop tidiness
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock
  • Answering phone calls, directing callers to necessary extensions and taking thorough messages
  • Making Tee Time reservations in person or over the phone
  • Ringing up sales at register and assisting customers
  • Ensure that each Member and Guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, building rapport with members, and all other aspects of customer service
  • Maintain an awareness of sales and events happening at the facility
  • Responsible for executing opening and closing duties
  • Any other tasks assigned by manager
