About The Position

The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects related to managing the day-to-day operations. Position reports to the Club Manager.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years golf industry experience
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills and high internal standards of hospitality, quality, and service.
  • Ability to create plans, set goals and achieve targets
  • Demonstrated ability to build team, motivate staff and participate in team environment.
  • Strong ability to train and develop staff
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated results-oriented ability and capable of working with minimal direction
  • Strong ability to work with deadlines
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Golf Genius
  • High Volume Golf Facility Experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work with all levels in organization
  • Excellent team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise golf shop, player assistants, and golf cart team members.
  • Coordinates and administers the daily work schedule of the golf shop, player assistants, and golf cart team members.
  • Set up and conduct various association and club tournaments with the tournament coordinator using golf genius.
  • Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, payroll, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, rules official or golf shop shifts.
  • Assist with golf instruction, clinics, and camps.
  • Regularly review the facility with the eyes of a guest to ensure a tidy, clean, and safe environment both inside and outside of the building.
  • Be accountable for tee sheet management and staffing in accordance with budgetary and operational needs.
  • As Operations Manager your role implies that you are the “face & personality” of the facility. The Operations Manager will represent the facility with superior hospitality skills, a professionally engaging personality, a positive outlook, enthusiasm, and respected leadership qualities. Members of the community at large will look to you as an ambassador for the sport in our market.
  • Performs other duties as required under the direction of the Manager.
