About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Equipment Manager to oversee repair and maintenance of equipment for our prestigious resort. As the Equipment Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional service, enhance the guest experience, and ensure the smooth operation of our golf/landscaping equipment. The Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all resort maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, golf carts, etc. If you have a love for guest services, a strong business acumen, and a commitment to delivering excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to join Barnsley Resort team and contribute to the success of the resort.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with 2 & 4 stroke gasoline engines, deisel engines, electric motors, hydraulic systems, drive trains, and reel grinding
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Abilty to work with tools in a safe manner and perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • 2+ years of experience as an Equipment Techincian in a golf course setting

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training through professional development training degree/certificate program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the maintenance department, taking measures to maintain the equipment fleet, and communicating any needs to the Director of Land Management and/or Golf Course Superintendent
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of designated equipment; check and repair equipment malfunctions
  • Respond immediately and resolve emergency needs/issue regarding safety/security/business requirements
  • Responsibile for landscaping and grounds keeping equipment including: lawn mowing tractors, trash pick-up vehicles, weed control/tree trimming/edging equipment, golf carts, gators, etc.
  • Must maintain records of maintenance schedules, hazardous material disposal, and a clean maintenance working environment
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Maintain and enahance the company's image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors
  • Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately
