About The Position
The Lead Assistant will assist the Director of Golf in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Golf Operations and Outside Services Staff and guest service. This will include all golf services, the practice facility, golf cart operation and supervision of daily play. The position will promote an inviting 'entertainment experience' and ensure efficient golf operations. Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including: training in job skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Be a relentless promoter of Adams Golf Club. Assist in fun themed reoccurring events to build play and revenue. Oversee the reservation system, starting, monitoring, and pace of play. Oversee the management and performance of all golf shop, cart fleet and applicable department operations and services; assure high standard and total guest satisfaction. Strong commitment to facility cleanliness and holding staff accountable to the club objectives. Ensure all financial goals and objectives are being achieved. Play golf with members and guests of all skill levels as time and duties permit. Assist in player development with individual golf instruction and clinics. Assist in the development and preparation of budgets, including forecasting and review of all golf operations revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Ensure systems controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, and resources. In keeping with facility goals, utilize yield management techniques to maximize course usage. Management and oversight of operating procedures and training manuals for the golf operation. Attend Regular staff meetings focused on guests, operations, revenue growth, cost containment and continuous improvement. Assist in managing golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, play recruitment, yield management, golf packages, and special events. Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Golf and other departments. Oversee and enforce golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
