About The Position

Join our amazing team as a Golf Instructor to work at Heritage Oaks Golf Club. Seeking a motivated NGA Assistant Entry Level Coach to assist with teaching and coaching youth clinics, youth camps, and youth leagues for the upcoming golf season. Help inspire youth golfers to enjoy the game for a lifetime! Pay & Schedule: $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour (DOQ) Hours may fluctuate based on operational needs; Weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Holiday work may apply. LPGA Girls Golf- Mondays and Fridays- 4:15pm-5:45pm, 6:00pm-7:30pm, Sundays 12:00pm-1:30pm, and 2:15pm-3:45pm NGA Clinics- Saturdays and Sundays- 8:30am-1:00pm NGA Camps- Monday-Friday- 9:00am-3:30pm PGA Leagues- Fridays- 4:00pm-6:00pm and Saturdays- 3:00pm-7:30pm

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of teaching experience or experience working in the program area, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the following knowledge, ability and skills.
  • Able to teach through demonstration of the specific subject matter being taught
  • Can work independently and efficiently
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Work with co-workers and the public in a professional manner during stressful situations
  • CPR/AED Certified
  • Thorough knowledge of the subject material being taught
  • Hands-on experience working with children
  • District safety policies and procedures
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, twist, talk and hear; use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to walk on uneven golf course grounds.
  • Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various golf and office equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities are required, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lessons supporting the established program curriculum.
  • Actively engages all students and provides them with support and constructive feedback.
  • Keeps attendance records and documents student progress when required.
  • Arrives before class starts to inspect the instruction space, set up equipment and supplies if needed and greet students.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers in a positive manner.
  • Follows safe work practices.
  • Attends trainings and meetings as required.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
