About The Position

The Golf Shop Assistant 2 is responsible for assisting the Golf Shop Supervisor in monitoring the daily operations and maintenance of the Golf Shop. This includes administrative tasks, guest service, and supporting team member training. The role requires a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with golfers and guests, ensuring they are informed about golf products, promotions, and course rules. The assistant will also handle point of sales transactions, maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Golf Shop, and assist in golf course maintenance and event organization.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
• Must have 6 months experience in a golf course/sales role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
• Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
• General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
• Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
• Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Golf Shop Supervisor in administrative tasks and Team Member training and support as needed.
• Resolve or refer to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions.
• Meet and greet golfers and guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Explain golf products and promotions while remaining knowledgeable on offerings.
• Verify golfers and guests are aware of applicable golf course rules, regulations and policies.
• Administer point of sales transactions and maintain the day-to-day golf reservation systems.
• Ensure the Golf Shop is clean, organized and stocked with merchandise.
• Support the set up and organization of tournaments and other events.
• Provide food and beverage services by prepping and serving as orders are received.
• Maintain the food and beverage area monitoring cleanliness, organization, inventory and supplies.
• Assist in golf course maintenance as directed by management.
• Monitor the cleanliness, condition and storage of the Golf Cart fleet.
• Complete janitorial responsibilities as needed.
