Under the supervision of the Golf Course Professional, the Customer Service Attendant will: Assume responsibility for customer service including excellent telephone manners. Keep merchandise and displays clean, neat and orderly. Assume responsibility for Point of Sale transactions including checking golfers in and out for their scheduled tee time. Assume responsibility of cash/credit card transactions in Point of Sale system while on duty. Maintain the accuracy and credibility of reserved time starting sheets and reservations. Direct golf car maintenance concerns to the Golf Professional. Maintain order and control of the 1stand 10thtees while being alert to all activity in the tee areas. Be especially watchful for new players and/or visiting golfers to ensure that they will not be overlooked because of their lack of understanding of our procedures Ensure play on the course proceeds in a manner that mirrors starting times on the first tee. Continually monitor the golf course and educate players in the many ways wasting time can be avoided. Eliminate excessively long playing time. Ensure that the course regulations are observed. Help players understand the specific local rules, and deal with any emergencies that may arise. Be available to work weekends and holidays. Lift, refill and replace water coolers throughout the golf course Empty trash cans on course when needed. Responsible for all areas covered in the operations manual for golf course Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Support all aspects of the Peoria Park District’s safety program. Report any vandalism, unusual condition, emergency situation, or incident to the Golf Course Professional.Perform other related duties as assigned
