What You’ll Be Doing Under the supervision of the Grounds Management Team, the grounds attendant will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to: Daily mowing of both golf course and landscape turf, using walking and riding mowers General landscape maintenance tasks using rakes, shovels and other landscape hand tools Operation of debris blowers, string trimmers, chainsaws and other small power tools, trimmers and equipment Operating golf course carts and utility vehicles Golf course set up work, including sand bunker maintenance, divot filling, filling water coolers, changing hole locations, moving tee markers, etc. Working on landscape beds, watering flowers, planting, clean up, etc. Cleaning of equipment and maintenance areas Assist in all tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekend and holiday shifts
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors, subject to pre-dawn hours and adverse conditions such as heat, cold and rain
- Perform manual/physical labor for extended periods
- Physical agility to push/pull, squat, twist, turn, sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Lift a minimum of 50lbs., unassisted
- Ability to safely operate motorized equipment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Comply with all rules and regulations as stated, whether verbal or written
- Work as a productive, respectful team member with other golf course / club staff
Responsibilities
