The assistant helps maintain detailed records of caddie performance, attendance, and client feedback to continuously improve the program. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with golf course management and staff to coordinate caddie assignments and address any operational challenges. Ultimately, the Golf Caddie Master Assistant contributes to enhancing the overall golfing experience by ensuring caddies are well-prepared, professional, and responsive to the needs of players.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a golf course environment, preferably in a caddie or golf operations role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic proficiency with scheduling software and record-keeping.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a golf facility.
  • Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and terminology.
  • Customer service experience with a focus on hospitality or sports.
  • Familiarity with golf course management software.
  • Certification in first aid or CPR.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Golf Caddie Master in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified caddies.
  • Support the training and development of caddies, including organizing orientation sessions and ongoing skill-building workshops.
  • Manage daily caddie scheduling and assignments to meet the demands of the golf course and its clientele.
  • Maintain accurate records of caddie attendance, performance evaluations, and client feedback.
  • Coordinate with golf course management and other departments to ensure seamless caddie operations and address any issues promptly.
  • Help enforce caddie program policies and standards to uphold professionalism and service quality.
  • Assist in organizing special events or tournaments that require additional caddie support.
