About The Position
The Quality Inspector position at Highwater Marine involves a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured boats meet the company's quality standards. As an Inspector 1, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of both the interior and exterior of the boats to identify any electrical, functional, or fit and finish defects. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of the quality standards set by Highwater Marine. You will document any defects found during inspections and will be responsible for re-checking the boats once repairs have been made, ensuring that all issues are resolved before the boats are released to dealers. In addition to inspections, you will be expected to communicate any quality discrepancies to the repairman and the Group Leader effectively. Operating various equipment to verify that all functional parts of the boats are working correctly is also a key responsibility. You will need to be proficient in using a tape measure down to 1/32" and be able to read and interpret technical prints. Following the established Inspection Guidelines is essential, and you will also assist in updating quality control boards and maintaining a daily fuel pressure logbook. Spot inspections on the production lines may also be part of your duties, contributing to the overall quality assurance process within the plant.
