About The Position

The Customer Service Associate at Godfrey Marine is responsible for providing exceptional customer service related to warranty and aftermarket coverage. This role involves communication with various stakeholders, participation in sales processes, compliance with company policies, and maintaining detailed documentation of warranty claims.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 3 or more years' experience in customer service, warranty or aftermarket will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to see projects and tasks across varied timelines through to completion.
  • Familiarity with personal computing software (i.e. MS Office).
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers.
  • Desire to be pro-active and think critically.
  • Possess a professional demeanor on the phone, via email, and in person.
  • Mechanically inclined is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong data entry skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to warranty or aftermarket coverage.
  • Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate the warranty process and ensure timely resolution of claim or quote requests.
  • Participate in the sales process for aftermarket parts, including order processing, inventory management, and delivery coordination as needed.
  • Ensure all warranty claims comply with company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Educate customers and dealership staff on warranty & aftermarket policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of all warranty claims, including approvals, denials, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and stay competitive.
