We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join our team in sunny Orlando Florida!

Requirements

• Post secondary STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
• An active U.S. DOD Secret clearance with an investigation date or CV in the last 5 years
• Willing to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment
• Demonstrated experience in digital simulation development for infrared sensor systems
• Professionally demonstrated advanced proficiency in C++
• Professionally demonstrated advanced proficiency in Matlab or Python
• Professionally demonstrated strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Active US DoD Top Secret clearance
• Experience operating in Linux environments
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience performing one or more of the following technical GNC assignments: Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms; Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations; Develop, verify and validate complex Electro Optical / InfraRed and/or Radio Frequency sensor models; Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses
• Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git

Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
• Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
• Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
• Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers
