  • Own all aspects of GNC system development, from overall vehicle design and algorithms to hardware testing and operations
  • Design, test, and validate GNC Flight Software and systems for spacecraft operating in LEO, GEO, and Cislunar environments
  • Conduct trade studies and provide design recommendations for GNC components such as reaction wheels, torque rods, thrusters, star trackers, sun sensors, and rate sensors
  • Develop GNC algorithms, implement them in flight software, and verify they meet performance and robustness requirements via simulation and Monte Carlo analysis
  • Design, implement, and improve high fidelity 6DOF simulations for use in software and hardware in the loop environments
  • Utilize and improve upon frequency domain controls analysis tools to ensure stability and performance margins
  • Work cross-functionally with engineers across various disciplines
  • Support on-orbit vehicle commissioning and anomaly resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Experienced with C++ and Python
  • 2+ years experience developing GNC systems for space applications
  • Basic understanding of spacecraft GNC architecture and hardware components
  • Experience with closed-loop control, orbital maneuvering, filtering, state estimation, fault management, and software development
  • Strong understanding of physics, attitude dynamics, orbital mechanics, and software development principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team with minimal requirements input or management oversight
  • Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 4+ years experience developing and/or producing GNC systems for space applications
  • Experience developing simulation environments for spaceflight physics
  • Experience with flight operations and solving problems real-time on console
  • Experience performing line of sight performance analysis such as jitter, smear, and pointing accuracy
  • Experience doing hands-on GNC hardware testing
