Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Geriatric Nursing Assistant Certification, Certified Medicine Tech, CPR

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care to the residents by bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and maintaining hygiene.
  • Maintains a safe environment for residents by ensuring that call lights are within reach of residents, responding to call lights promptly, and completing rounds to check on residents.
  • Observes the resident's well-being by taking, documenting, and reporting changes in vital signs, blood pressure, and weight, and reporting to Charge Nurse any observed change in the resident’s condition.
  • Documents resident information as required.
