About The Position

The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) position at Ellicott City Healthcare Center is designed to provide routine nursing and personal care for residents, ensuring the highest quality of resident care is maintained. This position is part-time and offers flexible scheduling across various shifts.

Requirements

• Certified as a GNA in the State of Maryland.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligibility to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from the date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive resident reports at the start and end of shifts.
• Provide personal and nursing care in accordance with resident care plans.
• Facilitate and conduct activities for residents.
• Monitor and respond to resident requests and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
• Assist in preparing residents for various activities within and outside the center.
• Ensure that all resident care is provided in a dignified and respectful manner.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.
• Ensure that residents' food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
