About The Position
FutureCare is excited to open our second location in Anne Arundel County, FutureCare Annapolis. We are looking to hire a group of outstanding Geriatric Nursing Assistants to be a part of our frontline health care team who will play a pivotal role in the care and support for our residents. FutureCare Annapolis will be licensed as a 154-bed skilled nursing facility serving the post-acute and long-term care needs of the community. Requirements
- Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland
- Must possess a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents
- Ability to listen attentively is essential
- Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
- A willingness to navigate changes in assignments
- Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in an skilled nursing facility is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs
- Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed
- Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Assist in transporting residents as needed
- Provide companionship to residents
- Ensure the safety of our residents
- Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment
