Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair within a commercial or industrial facility.
  • Proficient knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adhering to all applicable regulations and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or relevant trade qualifications in mechanical systems or a related field.
  • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on process and mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root causes and implement timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to carry out specialized repairs and installations as required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes, efficiency, and safety standards.
