About The Position

The GME Program Manager oversees the operations for the UAMS Internal Medicine Residency Program at Washington Regional Medical Center (WRMC) in Fayetteville, AR. This role ensures the program's success by managing accreditation, recruitment, education, clinical training, research, and resident wellness initiatives. The Program Manager serves as a vital liaison among program leadership, faculty, residents, institutional stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of administrative experience, including two (2) years of program management experience OR High School diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of administrative experience including two (2) years of program management experience required.
• Program Administration: Expertise in GME program operations and ACGME accreditation requirements.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to guide program activities and ensure compliance.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Organization: Exceptional organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Collaboration: Ability to foster teamwork among residents, faculty, and institutional partners.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in data management systems, electronic health records, and accreditation platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification
• Familiarity with ACGME requirements and experience in graduate medical education (GME)
• Experience using ACGME WebADS, NRMP, Thalamus GME, and New Innovations
• Master's degree in healthcare administration, education, or a related field plus three (3) years of project management or office coordination experience OR Bachelor's degree in business, education, general liberal arts, or related field plus five (5) years of project management and office coordination experience.
• Strong knowledge of ACGME accreditation requirements and residency program operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and provide high-level administrative support to the residency leadership team.
• Supervise administrative tasks, manage records, and maintain complex electronic systems to support the program.
• Collect, organize, and maintain residency data, including resident evaluations, work hours, and performance metrics.
• Prepare Residency Training Verifications and recommendation letters for current and former residents.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all residency files and maintain compliance with ACGME, RC, and local GME policies.
• Oversee residency recruitment processes, including the development of materials, management of applications via ERAS, and coordination of interviews and recruitment events.
• Manage credentialing processes for residents and fellows in partnership with the DIO office.
• Ensure residents and faculty comply with licensing and institutional requirements.
• Complete annual ACGME reporting and coordinate new resident orientation and training.
• Provide guidance to residents on educational goals and scholarly activities.
• Administer exams and assessments, and assist with the development of learning and remediation plans.
• Participate in education program meetings and support continuous improvement of the residency program.
