About The Position

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator at Riverside Medical Center plays a vital role in supporting the educational mission of the institution. The coordinator demonstrates flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure. Oversee day-to-day operations of GME programs, including scheduling and resource allocation. Demonstrates knowledge and ownership of pertinent ACGME program requirements by ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records and documentation. Responsible for managing the administrative functions of residency and fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and facilitating communication among trainees, faculty, and institutional leadership. Coordinate recruitment processes, including interview scheduling and onboarding for residents and fellows. Arrange all rotations, internal and external. Organize educational events, workshops, and seminars to enhance training experiences. Completes and maintains up to date computerized resident tracking system and ensures violations are reported. Prepares reports for the program director, designated institutional official, and/or GME committees, and PECs. Serve as trainees' primary point of contact, addressing concerns and providing support throughout their programs. Maintains trainee files, including credentials and evaluations. Collaborate with faculty to facilitate curriculum development and evaluation processes. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Optimize the utilization of New Innovation and ERAS systems. Accurately record minutes for meetings such as Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), Annual Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) meetings, etc. Develop a working knowledge of team members responsibilities to provide coverage and support as needed. Other duties as needed to support the success of the team, programs and department. In addition to core duties, the GME Coordinator will be assigned one or more of the following responsibilities: Coordinates the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, providing assistance to planners and demonstrates knowledge and ownership of IL State Medical Society (ISMS) requirements by ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Requirements
