GMAW Production Welder — Structural Steel Assemblies
About The Position
Build the structures that keep industry moving Join Wildeck as a GMAW Production Welder and turn raw steel into safe access solutions used across warehouses and distribution centers nationwide. Location: Waukesha, WI Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3pm–1am POSITION TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt Role highlights Fabricate structural and access products: platforms, stair rail assemblies, gates (slide/power slide/swing), ladders (including caged), platform and stair columns, I‑beams, vertical columns, and knee braces Execute MIG/GMAW and gas welding; position and clamp components to specification Restore parts by repairing cracks, filling holes, and adding material to meet design Support production with thermal cutting, drilling, shearing, punch pressing, and de‑burring
Requirements
- 1‑year welding certificate (college/technical school) or 1–2 years of welding experience/training
- Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs and occasionally more than 100 lbs while turning parts (depends on part)
- Strong interpersonal communication; collaborative mindset
- Accurate tape measure use
- Setting up welding operations for production runs
- Reading and applying blueprints

- forklift or overhead crane experience
Responsibilities
