Reporting to the President of the Wheatland Tube Division, this leader will successfully oversee and manage multiple manufacturing operations, driving growth and productivity through safe and efficient manufacturing while improving yields and output. The leader will be responsible for building a culture of accountability, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and leading a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required, with proven experience developing a strong operating team, proven record of continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and create a culture of accountability.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to focus time on the most important and urgent issues.
• Ability to identify key issues in a situation and think creatively and strategically when faced with internal and external challenges.
• Goal oriented, aggressive self-starter with an entrepreneurial personality who can make strategic decisions with a sense of velocity and urgency.
• Effective leadership with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplinary staff of business professionals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking, strong listening skills, and ability to interact with internal team members, external customers and vendors.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex business problems and identify priorities.
• High ethical standards
• Ability to travel in US and Canada

Responsibilities

• Build a culture of urgency, accountability and continuous improvement to achieve goals for safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and cost.
• Ensure work is done in accordance with established safety regulations, legal regulations, quality standards, and in compliance with Company procedures.
• Identify and adapt technological advances to meet the division’s objectives within the marketplace.
• Provide strong leadership to the employees at the plants, ensuring high morale, team work, and good employee and union relations at all levels, including on the shop floor.
• Oversee the operations of all the plants and meet financial targets.
• Ensure compliance to all group systems, guidelines, and policies.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team that will provide long term succession planning
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial planning related to manufacturing operations.
• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
