About The Position

The GM/HBC Coordinator at Food City is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to customers at all times. This role involves making all GM/HBC orders and ensuring they are turned in on time, checking in all GM/HBC orders according to company policy, and stocking GM/HBC merchandise. The coordinator must rotate all items when stocking and keep all out-of-date products off shelves while maintaining proper inventory levels. Additional responsibilities include assisting with price changes, hanging new shelf tags, and meeting all GM/HBC payroll/labor requirements. The coordinator is also tasked with maintaining a clean department according to company standards, stacking products and supplies in the stockroom neatly, and keeping shippers and 3-D end caps clean with easy-to-read pricing signs. The role requires ordering and stocking for the entire department, maintaining all department paperwork, and working on deletes and replacement items as directed by company policy. The coordinator will work and verify all GM/HBC plan-o-grams, ensure all electronic credits are taken care of immediately, supervise, train, and develop qualified GM/HBC associates, communicate daily with the store manager, enforce safety policies, and attend department head meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Grocery stocking experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
  • Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities
