As a General Merchandise Expert at Target, you will be part of a team that ensures a consistent experience for guests by managing product availability, pricing, and presentation on the sales floor. This role involves leading inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas, as well as overseeing Food & Beverage and Food Service operations. You will engage with guests to provide a welcoming experience, assist with their needs, and ensure that the sales floor is well-stocked and organized. The position requires a commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct while supporting various guest services.

Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues.
Engage with guests to understand their specific needs and provide solutions.
Ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed and priced.
Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom, and signing processes for GM areas.
Monitor progress and follow operational procedures accurately.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
Work safely and identify hazards in the work environment.

Ability to communicate using multiple devices and operate technology equipment.
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Experience in retail business fundamentals including sales trends and inventory management.
Ability to handle cash register operations accurately.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
