As a General Merchandise Expert at Target, you will be part of a team that ensures a consistent experience for guests by managing product availability, pricing, and presentation on the sales floor. This role involves leading inbound, outbound, replenishment, and inventory processes for all General Merchandise areas, as well as providing a fresh and safe food experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service. You will also be responsible for fulfilling guest orders efficiently and accurately. The position offers opportunities to develop skills in guest service, retail business fundamentals, and operational efficiency.

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
  • Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues.
  • Engage with guests to understand their specific needs and provide solutions.
  • Ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed and priced.
  • Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom, and signing processes for GM areas.
  • Monitor own progress and follow processes accurately with attention to detail.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
  • Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and best practices.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate technology equipment.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
