As a General Merchandise Expert at Target, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent experience for guests by managing product availability, pricing, and presentation on the sales floor. This role involves leading inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas, as well as overseeing Food & Beverage and Food Service operations. You will engage with guests, provide assistance, and ensure a welcoming environment while executing daily workload to support business priorities and sales goals.

Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests.
Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact.
Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs.
Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests.
Ensure sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed and priced for guests.
Execute inbound, replenishment, backroom, and signing processes for GM areas.
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail and monitor own progress.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with all safety policies and best practices.

Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
Work both independently and as part of a team.
Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends and inventory management.
Ability to handle cash register operations as needed.
Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
