About The Position

The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Physician Practice(s) assigned to them. The Practice Manager works collaboratively with practice providers to ensure the efficient and effective daily operation of the practice including the supervision and evaluation of the practice staff as well as ensuring the practices financial viability via revenue cycle management and operational expense control. Oversees all practice operations, budget, and workflows within the medical practice to ensure all applicable Grand Lake policies and procedures are in effect. This position requires critical thinking skills and working on special projects as assigned. The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the practice’s marketing and growth as well as continuous quality improvement and excellence of service. The Practice Manager ensures smooth interfaces with hospital operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in dealing with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
  • Must possess the ability to motivate staff and build effective relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or equivalent) or combination of five years progressively more responsible healthcare management experience and education/training in medical office administration/management required.
  • Master’s degree in administration preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
  • If applicable, licensure in area of clinical expertise.
  • Credentialing via NAHQ or other recognized quality organization or willingness to obtain.
  • Expert knowledge of practice management and administration; advanced ability to interpret, implement and develop Grand Lake Health System policies and procedures; proficient ability to develop, design and present complex information to various audiences; proficient mathematical reasoning skills; proficient oral, written and communication skills; proficient negotiating and influencing, political acuity and resiliency skills; advanced problem solving skills; advanced ability to assume accountability for ones responsibilities and actions; and advanced knowledge of technology application to the office setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in administration preferred.
