POSITION SUMMARY: As the Global Travel Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our company's corporate global travel program. You will manage the relationship with our Travel Management Company (TMC), ensure preferred vendors align with company growth, and deliver a seamless, cost-effective travel experience for our employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience as a Corporate Travel Manager or Event Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate travel industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in guiding, recommending and influencing outcomes related to policy adherence and/or implementation
  • Uses professional judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel 5%
  • Ability to be accessible outside of normal business hours
  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with leading RFPs and vendor implementations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in travel management software and administration experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP Concur system administration and reporting.
  • Knowledge of CVENT Event platform
  • Experience in maintenance, travel partner relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with TMC and monitor and evaluate their performance, ensuring adherence to service level agreements
  • Participate in regular meetings and reviews with TMC to address concerns, discuss program enhancements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and resolve any service issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with travel vendors, airlines, hotels, and car rental agencies to negotiate favorable contracts, rates, and services.
  • Manage hotel sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for US training courses and internal meetings.
  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage TMC in assisting employees and guests with travel-related inquiries, issues, and emergencies, ensuring a high level of traveler satisfaction.
  • Manage incentive and soft dollar programs with TMC and travel vendors.
  • Manage AtriCure Global Calendar to help identify and align on all internal and external conventions and meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners on travel policy updates
  • Generate regular reports on internal travel trends and key performance indicators to support internal partners in decision making for policy compliance
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions to enhance the travel program’s efficiency and required data collection for transparency reporting
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to make good decisions and use good judgement
  • Talent in prioritizing various duties and multitasking as required
