We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join our Global Trade (GT) team supporting the Power & Controls Strategic Business Unit. The GT team partners with various functional groups within the organization to ensure compliant business activity involving the export and import of government regulated items. As part of the GT team, you will support ensuring regulatory compliance to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other global regulations that govern requirements for our U.S. and international sites. This is a hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) requiring weekly onsite presence. This position can be based at either our Phoenix, AZ, Windsor Locks, CT, or Rockford, IL site.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
Experience with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and/or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) licensing and compliance frameworks.

Nice To Haves

Working experience managing export authorizations and regulatory interactions.
Experience with trade compliance systems and tools, including: DECCS / SNAP-R licensing platforms and GTS/OCR.
Strong working knowledge of export licensing workflows, classification, and jurisdiction determinations.
Degree in Business Management, International Business, Legal Studies, or International Trade preferred.
Working experience influencing and partnering with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and program management teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and training facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements and drafting.
Review, prepare, submit, and manage Export Authorizations (Licenses DSP-5, DSP-73, DOC licenses, Agreements MLAs, TAAs, Exemptions/Exceptions) to authorize the transfer of regulated hardware, technical data, software, and services.
Review and approve export transactional requests involving employee travel, visitor access, technical data exports, and hardware exports.
Support the deployment of GT requirements to ensure business standard work and processes incorporate GT touchpoints.
Organize and prepare GT training to internal business customers.
Assist with investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
