About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Third Party Claims Handler to oversee the technical handling of claims across multiple jurisdictions and regions. This position requires a strong background in handling multi-line claims, including First Party Auto and General Liability. The ideal candidate will bring high level claims expertise, be highly analytical, and possess strong leadership and communication skills to ensure optimal claim handling and settlement in line with the company’s global policies, procedures, and strategic objectives. The role will involve providing technical oversight to third parties, delegating authority referrals, and guiding the claims team through complex cases, while supporting the implementation of the company's business plan. Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience handling multi-line claims with a focus on First Party Auto as well as General Liability, in global or multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Experience in managing high value claims across several regions is a must.
  • Current Adjuster’s License required.
  • In-depth knowledge of claims handling, including dealing with high-value or catastrophic losses, legal disputes, and multi-party claims.
  • Experience with Auto and Liability claims is essential.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload across multiple regions while ensuring that all claims are processed efficiently and in accordance with company standards and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and claims management software, as well as computer based phone applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex claims details to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act on claims data to inform decision-making.
  • Possess a high level of claims knowledge as well as excellent analytical, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Must have a dedicated office space with the residence that includes high speed internet and ability to have 2 large monitors to accomplish daily duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple state or country licenses (Adjuster’s License) highly preferred.
  • A professional qualification such as CPCU, ACII, or similar is desirable.
  • Experience with claims management systems and technology used in global claims operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Global Claims Oversight: Manage and provide technical expertise for third-party claims across global markets, covering multiple lines of business, including Auto and Liability. Ensure claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with both local and national regulations.
  • Strategic Large Loss Management: Identify and manage large or complex claims across the United States, including coordinating large loss registers and collaborating with internal teams to define strategy, reserve management, and next steps. Ensure large claims are handled efficiently and with cost containment strategies in place.
  • Payment Authorization & Reserving: Ensuring that reserves are appropriately set and updated for all claims. Monitor claims financials to ensure accuracy and compliance with global standards.
  • Collaboration with Global Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, risk analysts, brokers, underwriters, and external service providers (e.g., loss adjusters, legal teams) to ensure efficient claims resolution and stakeholder alignment across regions.
  • Customer & Third-Party Communication: Act as a liaison between the company, clients, and third parties (including suppliers, legal advisors, and regulators), ensuring that all parties receive timely and accurate information throughout the claims process. Provide guidance on complex claims issues and resolution strategies.
  • Claims Process Optimization: Work with the Global Claims Manager and other senior leaders to continuously improve claims processes, ensuring that all workflows, SLAs, and communication strategies align with the company’s business objectives.
  • Dispute Resolution & Litigation Support: Assist with high-stakes dispute resolution and act as a subject matter expert in litigation support. May be called upon to serve as a witness in legal proceedings or regulatory investigations related to claims.
