Innovative Medicines Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from seven to one, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit‑for‑purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end‑of‑life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade. We are searching for the best talent for the Innovative Medicine (IM) Transcend: Global Test Director! This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) hubs such as Beerse, Belgium; Cork, Ireland; Cologno Monzese, Italy; Issy-les-Moulineaux, France; Madrid, Spain; Porto Salvo, Portugal; Neuss, Germany; Leiden, Netherlands; and Zug or Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The Global Test Director is responsible for leading lead the end‑to‑end testing strategy, governance, and execution for multiple IM Transcend releases within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This senior leader will define and maintain a harmonized, risk‑based global testing framework, ensuring consistency, compliance, and readiness across regions and business units. Partnering closely with Deployment, PMO, Business Partners, and Technology teams, this leader will drive integrated testing cycles, defect management, performance tracking, and adoption of innovative tools and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within Operations and/or Supply Chain
  • Program Management leadership experience on large, business transformation initiatives
  • Extensive experience leading ERP business testing strategy in global, multi‑release programs
  • Hands‑on experience with integration, BST, UAT, performance, and/or regression testing
  • Strong understanding of complex system landscapes, data integrity, CSV, SDLC, SOX, and GxP
  • Proficiency with JIRA or similar test/defect management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional regional teams with strong communication and facilitation skills
  • People‑management experience (coaching, mentoring, developing teams)
  • Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on‑site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA testing frameworks (e.g., Solution Manager, Test Suite, Fiori)
  • Industry experience in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences
  • Customer‑focus competencies related to stakeholder development/management
  • Proficiency with Agile methodology

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and governance of a global, risk‑based testing strategy for all IM Transcend releases, aligned with SAP Clean Core, GxP, CSV, and regulatory expectations
  • Maintain a consistent global testing methodology, including templates, tools, metrics, and best practices across regions
  • Direct creation of integrated test plans including scope, scenarios, data needs, environments, and entry/exit criteria across different testing phases including performance, and regression cycles
  • Operate and mature a centralized defect management practice, including SLAs, trending metrics, and quality metrics
  • Embed testing into program stage gates in partnership with Deployment and PMO teams, ensuring clear readiness and risk visibility
  • Lead cross‑functional communication and risk mitigation, ensuring timely resolution and alignment with partners
  • Champion test automation, performance automation, and generative‑AI‑enabled testing tools to improve efficiency and quality
  • Coordinate E2E testing across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Finance, and Master Data to confirm business continuity
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of testing documentation, including validation deliverables
  • Support creation of test playbooks, communication plans, and training materials to enhance testing capability globally
