Position Overview: FMC currently has an internship opportunity for an individual to work with the International Tax, Tax Accounting, and Transfer Pricing functions of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn about the calculation of the Company’s income tax positions through the preparation of analyses and deliverables covering a broad range of Tax Accounting and Compliance disciplines

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in a Bachelor’s level program within an accredited university in the discipline of Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong process documentation and communication skills.
  • Interest in the relationship between the operations of the Company and the tax environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with varying levels of the organization.
  • Independent and able to evaluate situations objectively.
  • Strong understanding of ethics and values.

Nice To Haves

  • A previous internship in a Tax, Audit, Accounting or Controls environment is highly desirable.
  • Some Tax, Accounting, or Audit co-op/internship experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare analyses to assist Management with the review of the global effective tax rate for the Company.
  • Prepare Excel-based models leveraging supporting information for review and discussion.
  • Prepare analyses regarding the consolidated financial results of the Company and its subsidiaries.
  • Assist in enhanced process improvement and documentation efforts.
  • Manage the tracking of Tax Compliance submissions for foreign subsidiaries.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with various business teams.
  • Assist International Tax, Tax Accounting, or Transfer Pricing teams with ad-hoc requests.
