The Supply Planner is responsible for supply and inventory planning, order management and reporting, providing World Class service and communication to our customers. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for: Provide a finished goods forecast by critically analyzing demand patterns, identifying trends, using planning tools and communicating with stakeholders; Actively participate in Sales and Operations Planning meetings generating reports and providing inventory, supply, and service projections for the horizon analyzed. Be able to work on different demand planning scenarios by applying assumptions and working on simulations using a statistical demand planning tool; Critically analyze historical and future demand and be able to clearly inform priorities to material production planners or OEM partners; Communicate proactively with Customers, Marketing, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and other teams on significant changes in demand (backorders & allocations) ensuring actions are taken to minimize the operational impact. Maintain optimized inventory levels at the distribution centers across the world to maximize On Time In Full Customer Service while also being financially responsible for inventory investment. Ensure SAP and Planning tools reflect correct supply planning requirements by constantly reviewing and updating parameters; Monitor and control inventory shelf life using SAP and effectively communicating with distribution centers and quality management personnel; Contribute with updating reports on different supply chain metrics (e.g.: forecast accuracy, backorder quantity, shelf life control, inventory reports); Ensure accuracy and maintain all relevant material master data; To be the prime interface between product and its customers on all supply related matters; Continuous Improvement mindset identifying opportunities and implementing process changes with management and Business Excellence support

Requirements

  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience, ideally in a complex medical device or related industry
  • Proven expertise in DRP and/or MRP tools (ie: SAP, Kinaxis)
  • Advanced ERP user, preferably SAP
  • Open Communication – ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms, influence and engage across global, cross-functional groups
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Strong Analytical Skills – ability to deal with large amounts of complex data from various sources
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Highly organized and results oriented
  • Bias for Action - ability to work in fast pace while retaining strong attention to detail and making decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to drive and deliver new initiatives and process improvements
  • Good leadership and negotiation skills
  • Familiar with lean concepts and tools

Nice To Haves

  • Certification of a professional body associated with planning preferred
  • Broad knowledge of forecasting, product distribution, inventory control, manufacturing processes
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Proven experience of working with an ERP system, preferably SAP
